On behalf of ACCESS, we invite you to register for the ACCESS 8th Arab Health Summit: A Global Call to Action for Health Equity and Social Justice, taking place at the historic Omni Shoreham hotel in Washington, DC this September 16-19th, 2018. By participating in this convening, you will be joining a global network of public health leaders, health professionals, academics and advocates committed to working together to promote health equity and social justice.
As you may know, Arab Americans are not a federally recognized minority which makes it challenging to collect data and understand the challenges our community face. To address this challenge, over fifteen years ago, ACCESS established a one-of-a-kind scientific forum that has since served as a major platform for academic and public health leaders, health & mental health professionals as well as policy makers to share best practices as well as strategic solutions to improve health on a global scale and build research capacity.
Through the 8th Summit, our aim is to create a platform for discussion around health rights, public health research capacity building, and community engagement as it relates to health and mental health issues among immigrant and refugee populations. We are thrilled to share our agenda with you that features over 180 speakers!
