Fez International Photography Festival Takes place from 14 November - 15 December. Hosted by the French Institute in Fez, curator Jeanne Mercier says “I wanted the festival to focus on changes in photography as it is practised on the African continent.”
Middle Eastern Photography Gets a Biennale One hundred and sixty works by forty four artists currently running until 17 January across eight venues in Paris. “My ambition is for the Biennale to show another version of the Arab world” (from the one represented by the Islamic State) said former French Culture Minister Jack Lang.
I Know Why the Rebel Sings at the Prince Claus Fund in Amsterdam. Newsha Tavakolian will receive the principal Prince Claus Award on 2 December. Her exhibition I know why the rebel sings is on view 27 November - 14 March 2016.
